1. Hum Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke
The film revolves around Rahul (Aamir Khan), who is the manager of a heavily indebted family business and Vaijayanti (Juhi Chawla) who is the caretaker of Rahul’s dead sister’s munchkins. Vaijayanti is a runaway bride who ran away from the man he was about to marry. As the story unfolds, Rahul and Vaijayanti eventually fall in love with each other.
2. Andaz Apna Apna
I can be sure that you must have already watched this movie twice or thrice. But some movies are eternal. They can be watched over and over again. Surprisingly, you will find yourself laughing at the very same old jokes of Amar and Prem. And hey,
“Teja Mein Hoon Mark (X) Idhar Hai”
3. Hera Pheri
You utter Paresh Rawal and everyone will have an instant chuckle on their face. Such a versatile actor this man is. His hands-on expertise in comic roles can be seen very clearly in this list. The movie is a simplistic narration of lives of Raju, Shyam and Babu Rao. How their lives change when they are conned by a conman. Rest is all about the fits of laughter.
“Meri kundli mein khoon likha hai … maloom hai na?” Don’t worry, it’s just our Babu Rao’s rage in all gibberish!

4. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro
Let’s move further in time. No, not forward! A little backward, to 1980s. This star-studded movie narrates the story of two friends who wish to open their own photo studio. Their journey includes a lot of drama, corruption, murder and of course, hysterical laughter. You cannot hold back yourself from letting out a laughter on Om Puri’s famous dialogue,
“Draupadi teri akele ki nahi hai … hum sab shareholder hai”.
Amol Palekar hands on comedy can never be doubted. The song ‘Golmaal hai bhai sab golmaal hai’ still plays in the back of the mind when someone utters this movie. Lots of comedy and romance in a single Bollywood flick, such were the movies of the great old 80s.
“Maaf nahin, main tujhe saaf kar doonga”
6. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S
Some movies are worth bringing on. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. is certainly of such few movies. The term ‘Jaadu ki Jhappi’ was immortalized by none other than our Sanju Baba in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Boman Irani though in a bit of shady character in this movie, never fails to tickle our ribs with his commendable performance.
“Carrom ramwanu, juice pivanu … mazza ni life”
In the present times, if there is someone who’s near perfect in making comedy movies, then he is Priyadarshan. Most of his movies end in a hilarious commotion in the end, where all the actors come together to create a masterpiece of entertainment. Once again Paresh Rawal comes out shining in his comic role.
“Kauva kitna bhi washing machine mein naha le … bagula nahi banta”
8. Khosla Ka Ghosla
This Dibakar Banerjee flick will tickle your ribs, not once but a hundred times in the span of 2 hours. Such is the power of humour. Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Vinay Pathak, all in a single movie. “Yeh cricketeron waale naam safe nahi hote ji … kal ko woh run banane band karega … log jootiyan isko marenge”
9. Bheja Fry
We don’t need to tell why this movie has made up to this list. It is one of the top-rated movies of Bollywood. Vinay Pathak and Rajat Kapoor creates a tsunami of laughter as Bharat Bhushan and Ranjeet Thadani. Grab a bowl of popcorn, and yeah, don’t toss it away while jumping with laughter.
