I love wearing foundation, but I was ignorant that I was committing few mistakes day by day. There are certain tips that I was taught by my friends and mother, but those ideas seem like old wives tales.   • Don’t Make use of the Powder Foundation!!

If you are among those who swear by the use of powder foundation, then I have a bad news for you. Using powder can make your skin drier and sometimes cakey too, and I am sure you would not want to look like a zombie, or do you? Liquid foundations on the other hand make your skin smooth and get absorbed easily to get you a gorgeous look :)

  • Where to Test the Shade?

I was taught to test the shade of the foundation on the inner side of my wrist, but later on I found that this is not an effective way to do that. Many fashion experts suggest testing underneath your eyes, around your nose and along with your jaw line to check out the real matching tone. So begin doing that now…

  • Do you Use a Primer?

Have you ever made the use of Primer unlike me? If not then please do that. Primer helps in better absorption of the same and also don’t let it disappear faster. So, next time when you have a long day night function, make use of primer and let your face glow for hours without any touch-up!

  • Brush it the Right Way…

Do you use your fingers or sponge to apply the foundavvvvtion? Stop that right away!! Instead make use of brush!! Brush helps in equal application and also does not create any mess. Besides, fingers cannot get you the same smooth look…

  • All your Face Does not Require This!!

Yes you are just wasting your money if you plaster all your face with foundation. It is needed on areas where you require touch ups, so take care!

  • What about Shades above Eyes?

If you have a fair skin then using dull eye colours will wipe out your beauty, so you need to go with brighter shades such as purples, rich brown or may be green. Metallic dark eye make-up too would look best at you. It is all about using right colours, nothing else!! If your dresses can alter colours, why can’t your eyes?

  • Use Right Shade of Mascara!

To make your eyes pop out well, make sure you use black mascara over them as brown will ruin it. Same applies while using liners, light colour will simply smudge away and it will look as if you haven’t applied anything on them :(

This is really an important trick as this will help you add little colour to your pale look. But this does not mean you start loading your cheeks with too much of it, let it be light and see how lovely and gorgeous you can look. I have already started imagining myself in the look!!

There is a difference between night or day eyes. For a regular office goer, sweeping a natural eye colour and just dabbing little liner around the corner, would do the trick. Don’t make it like you are going to an evening party. P.S. You surely want to grab attention, but not the wrong way, right?

  • Keep your Lashes Light….

Long lashes will awake you and you will look fresher. So apply layers of mascara from root and make it work for you. But keep the colours neutral or else you will disturb the looks :)

  • Make your Pouts look Decent….

You can decide which feature you want to enhance like your lips or eyes. A nude lipstick or simply a gloss is in and is highly chic! You can try serious colours but keep the peppy experiments for your evening bash only ;)

Take down the modest office up-do and leave them down…yes dearies; leave your hair down. Try a light hold spray, tousle with your fingers and allow it to dry. You will instantly have oodles of volume.

Finish Your Hair (90 seconds)

What to do with your volume? You will have a lot of choices. Chic and sleek up do, messy braid or a shoulder braid or a boho beachy waves will look just perfect. Style your hair and spritz with a medium hold spray

Reapply Lip Color (90 seconds)

Take time to apply your lip stick and gloss. Do not choose that’s something too sticky, nude high shine with your smashing smoky eyes will look really seductive!

Catch Your Breath (60 seconds)

Now that you are really an expert on how to get ready in just few minutes; catch some breath….reconfirm the meeting time and place. Wash your hands when done!

Can you believe it? You are ready in just ten minutes! Amazing….isn’t it.

This may be sounding like a rocket science, but let me tell you that it is not one! Just practice it a lot and have patience- the two qualities that will help you in conquering this art. The trick here is to blend the foundation in the best way possible that it looks natural. After the application of the foundation around your nose just give that area of your nose a tinge of the powder so that the foundation used doesn’t stand out.

If you have a big and oily nose then it is a priority for you to keep your nose scrubbed and clean and treat it with a little powder which will work wonders in hiding that big nose on our face.

Red Hot….

With the color of leaves change in the fall, your colors on your face will change too! You got it right dearies; red can definitely brighten you up from head to toe! Be it a red lipstick or a nail paint, it will make you look bold and vibrant. Avoid red eye shadow, it sucks!!

Expresso…..

The expresso brown shade is toned down but still looks extremely beautiful. Add a swipe to your lippie or eye lid, all you need to do is make the brown color stand out!!

Deep Violet….

Purple is obviously the best color for fall. The darker, the deeper, the better!! Just swipe a line of purple eyeliner, eye shadow or mascara can really enhance your overall look. So girlies, step into this shade.
