The time has gone when red lips dominated only the ramp! Goth lips trends has stood out this spring. Its gives sense of sensuality and mystery. Yes! A pout in the dark shades of red and purple has bumped into the day and night chic! Starting from celebs to international runways, everybody seems to sport the vampy look. Why so? Well, the darker shades tend to create a strong style statement.
So here are some tips to wear the look right with extremely sensuous gothic lips:
Face:
Gothic lips favor polished and smooth appearance. Never forget to apply moisturizer at first; do we really want to look dry and droopy? NO!! So what I would suggest is to select a matte foundation half a shade lighter than your skin tone. Concealers are the secret to hide blemishes, acne and marks. Use them to avoid the dewy finished look. And I am sure; all you beauties would definitely get a flawless matte finish.
Eyes:
Eyebrows should look strong always. The Goth lips appear strong, smart and chic. So the golden rule is fill in the gaps and scars and shape up the lashes. There’s no restriction for the eyes. You can keep it simple, though I would recommend the ultimate smoky eyes. It will just make heads turn around! Believe me, the darker the shade of the eyes, the prettier the complete look is! And for the ladies who just want to look their best in a simple way, do your lower eyelids with thicker eyeliner.
Cheeks:
Stay away from the shades of pink and peaches. It’s an absolute NO-NO with the Goth look. Instead, you can use a darker shade of brown to sculpt the cheekbones and jaw bones. Always keep in mind that the cheeks have to maintain the natural contour but in a bit darker shade to get a flawless look. Darker contour of the cheeks is definitely a must to add an extra element of strength to your face.
Lips:
Dark or wine red, purple, brown always work out fabulously for the gothic pouts. Start with any shade of dark lip liner to outline the lips. Now, here comes a piece of advice; “fill in the lips using the same lip liner”. Make sure to take a moderate amount of lipstick. I mean, yes, it’s a gothic look but we don’t want to overdo it! Darker the shade is the more depth and strength you get in your lips.
