As we all know that this fruit is strictly banned during pregnancy because it triggers the abortion.It also contains a substance latex that causes uterine contractions and the papain or pepsin substance hamper fetal growth.
Pregnant ladies should avoid grapes during these their last phases of pregnancy as raises the body temperature which can later lead to complications. And it also contains a compound Resveratrol that can imbalance the hormones.
Eggplant which is commonly known as Brinjal is almost cooked in every Indian home. It is very vital for treating premenstrual disorder and amenorrhoea because of which it is advised to avoid consuming it.
4. Seafood and fish
It is always advised to avoid seafood and fish during pregnancy as fish contains a high amount of mercury in it which can damage the infant’s brain and nervous system.
It contains a compound bromelain which softens the cervix which can lead to miscarriage and failed labour. It is also said that over consumption of pineapple rapidly heats the body which can cause premature birth or abortion.
6. Fenugreek seeds and fennel
You can consume these ingredients in small quantities but don’t consume it in large quantities as it leads to squeezing of uterine which not good for a pregnant woman.
7. Sesame seeds
In the earlier times, it was used as a medicine for abortion as it ejects the fertilized ovum. And it is advised to avoid it during the first three months of pregnancy.
This ingredient is mostly used in street foods and cuisines of China. Over consumption of this can affect the growth of the brain in the fetus. Hence, it is advised to avoid it to protect the growth of the baby.
9. Refined flour food
Always try to avoid refined flour made products like pizza, bread, noodles etc. and also avoid pickles as they contain preservatives which are not good for the health of the developing baby.
10. Unpasteurized milk
Before consuming it always boil it as it kills all the germs and prevents the occurrence of diseases which are harmful to the growth of the baby.
