But if you have oily hair, then this method isn’t made for you. You can detangle your hair while co-washing. But do this only if you have normal to dry hair.
Detangle your wet or semi-wet hair
If you have dry and curly hair, it is better to detangle your hair while they are wet or semi-wet. Run your fingers or a comb through your hair while gently trying to detangle them. You can also spritz your hair with oil and water after washing your hair. Or you can apply this mixture before washing your hair. Spritz this mixture and leave it for 5 minutes. Wash it afterward. Detangle your hair while applying this pre-cleanse mixture.
Reverse Hair Washing
Do You apply conditioner after washing your hair with shampoo? Yes, it is the obvious thing to do. But here we are asking you to not to the obvious. Grab your hair conditioner and massage it gently on your strands. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Wash it off with water first and then apply a shampoo.
Detangling Dry Hair
Although we always suggest you not to detangle your dry hair. But for some women this trick works well. When your hair is dry they are in their strongest possible form to stand against any tugging thrown at them. You can finger comb your hair gently detangling your tresses. But this process takes a lot of time. If you have long hair, it will take up to 2 to 3 hours to detangle each and every knot!
Soak Up and Condition
Make a paste of shikakai and water and apply it to your damp hair. Let the paste soak into your hair for few minutes. This softens and detangles your hair. You can sit under the fan to let it dry quickly. Then follow the reverse hair washing routine to get it clear from your hair.
Sure Shot Way to Keep Tangle at Bay!
Take the following ingredients:
- 1/2 cup methi seeds which are soaked overnight in warm oil
- 5 Tsp. Coconut Oil
- 2 Tsp. Almond
- 2 Tsp. Olive
- 2 Tsp. Mustard Oil
- 1 Tsp. Castor Oil
Soak the methi (Fenugreek) seeds in warm oil and keep it overnight. Now add coconut oil, mustard oil, almond oil and castor oil. Warm this mixture. Apply this mixture of oils in your roots and your tips. Keep it overnight and wash it off in the morning. Do this trick twice a week to get the best results.
