This will help to protect your tattoo from the infections and direct exposure to the sunlight. So, it is advised that you should keep the bandage on for the suggested time.
2. Avoid scratching
A few days later your skin will begin to heal and will start forming scabs. Don’t worry as this sign is very natural and it means that your tattoo is healing. It is suggested that you should avoid scratching it and allow it to fall by itself. You can apply a lotion to it to avoid itching.
3. Wash your skin carefully
One must be careful while washing their tattoo for the first time. Gently, remove the damage and wash it with lukewarm water. Avoid rubbing your tattoo harshly. After washing your hands pat dry your skin with a paper towel or tissue.

Many people love wearing tight-fitting clothes. But, you have to avoid them once you get a tattoo for few days as there are chances that your tattoo might get glued with your cloth. 5. Avoid soaking your tattoo
Always remember this, that tattoo takes time to heal naturally. And during that phase, you should avoid soaking it in water because soaking might fade away all the ink from your tattoo. Plus, if you are a person who swims regularly then you have to give it up for few weeks as the chlorine present in the pool can form a chemical reaction when it comes in contact of your tattoo.
6. Prevent swelling
Sometimes, tattoos can cause swelling of skin which totally depends on your skin type. So, if you want to avoid swelling all you need is to rub ice on the tattoo area to reduce swelling. Repeat the same till the swelling goes off.
