Tightlining is the well-kept trick of runway makeup artists and makeup artists, in general, to make the eyes look more awake, brighter and to make your eyelashes appear fuller. But there are still lots of women who are not aware of this amazing makeup trick. If you are not aware of this trick, no need to feel bad about it, we are here to help you.
This trick comes very handy in cases where you want to make your eyelashes appear fuller, especially when you are going for a no makeup look. Sometimes when you line your upper eyelid and you could see the skin peeping through the upper lash line which does not look very appealing, in such cases tightlining can make a huge difference.
Now, how to master this easy but effective trick? Well, it is way easier than you thought it to be, so let’s begin. The first step is to wash your face and pat it dry with a clean towel. Make sure your eyes are completely dry with no traces of water. Next, apply some compact on your eyelids with the help of a small eyeshadow brush. Now take a black kohl, gel liner or kajal pencil which is smudge proof and use it to line your upper water line from the inner corner to the outer corner.
If you still can’t figure it out, then let me tell you a more detailed way to do it correctly. In order to line your top waterline you need to stand or sit in front of the mirror, raising your chin and lifting your upper eyelid with your index finger to expose the upper waterline. Hold the kohl vertically and line the water line by moving the kohl back and forth. Make sure to look down while doing this.
To darken the roots of your eyelashes even further, pull the upper lid of your eye with your finger. Now wiggle the tip of the kohl back and forth as you move from the outer corner to the inner corner. Take your time while you are at it or else you may injure yourself.
Once you are done with your upper lash line, don’t forget to pay some attention to your bottom lash line as well. Take the same kohl or kajal pencil and use small strokes just below the roots of your lashes.
Now that you are done with the tightlining process it is time to clean up the area. If there are any smudges you can use a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover to clean them. The last step is to curl your lashes and finishing off by applying a coat or two of your favourite mascara.
This may look like a very long process but trust me it is very easy and efficient trick once you get a hang of it. So make sure to try it at least once.
