Ingredients needed for berry kanji recipe:

  • Raspberry- 50 grams
  • Asafoetida- 2 grams
  • Carom seeds- 2 grams
  • Black salt- 5 grams
  • Salt- 5 grams
  • Chaat masala- 2 grams
  • Cloves- 5
  • Green cardamom- 6 grams
  • Refined oil- 5 ml
  • Mint- 2 springs
  • Lemon- 1 wedge
  • Water- as per requirement
  • Ghee- 2 grams
  • Ice cubes- as required

Now, how to make berry kanji:

  • First, blend raspberries coarsely.
  • Now, add the blended raspberries in a bowl.
  • Then, add salt, chaat masala, and black salt to the bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients properly.
  • After that, dilute the mixture with some water.
  • In the meantime, heat some oil in a pan and add asafoetida to it.
  • Now, add carom seeds to the pan.
  • Then, add the carom seeds mixture to the berry mix.
  • Heat some charcoal over a medium flame in a small bowl.
  • Add ghee, green cardamom, and clove over it.
  • Once the smoke starts to rise, place the small bowl in the berry mixture.
  • Now, cover the berry mixture with a lid.
  • Then, remove the lid after 2 minutes.
  • Remove the small bowl from the berry bowl.
  • Stir the mixture and serve with ice cubes.
  • And your berry kanji is ready to be served.
